Five Australian riders will tryout in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup Selection Event, held this week at Guadix in Spain.

This year 109 of the fastest young riders from 30 nations have been invited to enjoy the company of like-minded teenagers and show their skills.

After an initial two days of track action on Tuesday and Wednesday a smaller group will be invited back for Thursday. From them a band of only around 12 will be invited to join the Rookies Cup for 2015, the ninth year of competition.

Of the Australians, Mark Chiodo, Lachlan Epis, Hunter Ford, Nicholas Liminton and 2013 Australian Moto3 Champion Lawson Walters will all vie for a position in next year’s series.
