The ProMX experience…
It was awesome, a whole heap of fun. I mean, that track was epic – I’ve never seen anything like that, never ridden anything like that in my life – those ruts were something else. I think it was at the end of the first moto, probably three laps to go, two laps to go, I was coming into one of the tight corners there, and it was just a wall of ruts – the whole way across the track. I was thinking none of these look good – I wouldn’t normally pick any of these ruts, but it’s just one of those [things]. It was awesome, an epic experience and pleasure to be a part of the championship. When those boys JB [Jed Beaton] and [Kyle] Webster passed me in the first moto, I was like holy-dooley! Those boys in the lead, they’re really testing these bikes to their complete limit. It’s awesome to see, especially firsthand on track. So a massive hat off to them and also to all the competitors. It’s awesome to see the sport in good health.

Looking to 2025…
We’re well into talks with everybody, it’s just a matter of waiting to see what the decisions are made. We’ve had a long time there – 25 podiums, four wins – I mean, I’ve been there a long time, but I feel like I’ve still got a lot more to give. My main focus is in trying to stay MotoGP and the beauty of MotoGP nowadays is there’s no bad bikes left on the grid – they’re all good bikes. So, you know, if we could try to tie up something soon, it’d be fantastic, but we’re in the hands of the gods – we just got to wait it out. It’s just one of those games.

This season so far…
We got off to a decent start – all the KTMs – but we seem to be struggling in the last couple of rounds. We need to make some improvements – we’re lacking a little bit of speed, and the problem is we’re still going [quick] in many races. I mean, I’m finishing now outside of the top 10 or 10th, and we’re still 10 seconds quicker than the winner was last year. We’re still 20 seconds off the wind this year – the level’s just gone up incredibly, and we need to advance further forward. We need to find some more speed out of the machine as well as our riding.
